POOR PROGNOSIS is just one word pair that comes to mind when viewing the state of the lower incisors in this lovely 79 year old woman. Rampant caries in this region was identified in 2020 when she presented after 6 years and it has had a chance to progress since then. Her request was to save the teeth if at all possible. This was what we tried to do this morning with extreme difficulty and surprisingly no pulp exposures at all, despite use of caries detector. Tertiary dentin hard at work.
