To improve the fracture toughness of the residual pericervical dentin, the endodontic access was dropped 5mm before a total etch adhesive microlayered approach using Ever-X Flowable (2.88MPa/m.0.5 relative to dentin at 2.51MPa/m.0.5) to ideal contour.
Like replaces like. Porcelain replaces enamel, composite is better matched to dentin’s fracture toughness or more specifically the DEC.
