Occasionally teeth can move apart in the posterior sextants and move distally, despite the usual movement of passive movement being in the mesial direction. This can come from distalizing forces on inclined planes paired with a strong clenching habit. Tooth #2 was previously completed by myself a number of years ago and suffered separation (anxiety) from tooth #3. To alleviate this, a total etch adhesive protocol was prefaced with micro air abrasion and bevelling to maximize available surface area before a silane coupling agent was applied (G-MultiPrimer) which has the ability to bond to silane and also (i.e. MDTP) old resin. Finally, a single shade of Admira Fusion X-tra U was utilized for the layering to full contour. Not bad.
