White Line Fever // The cause of this is tearing of the interfacial surfaces between composite and enamel during polymerization contraction of the increment, often exaggerated if a section of enamel has not been beveled adequately. In this case, the corresponding region on the pre-operative view is clear, and this area of “white line fever” would likely not have occurred if that was beveled more. You cannot bond to the sides of enamel rods as effectively as you can the ends.
