Personally, I like to stay away from occlusal indirect ceramic overlay margins for this reason. This case was indicated for retreatment due to interproximal recurrent caries. It’s really amazing how completing IDS and a resin coat can decontaminate and insulate against post-op sensitivity, optimize dentin shear bond strengths over time even with loads of dentin exposure in veneer cases.
