Large Class IV fracture of tooth 11DIBL with a history of debonding 4 times before the patient presented to my service. A total etch bonding procedure using Optibond Solo Plus was utilized after micro air abrasion using 27 micron aluminum oxide. Shades A1 Enamel, A2 Dentin, Trans Clear were used in a trilaminar technique to build this tooth back to full form. The angular enamel fracture visible in the initial photograph was intact, so not indicated for removal. Dehydration shows up interesting white streak details – it’s important to stick to your guns and your initial shade selection because 3 hours later after it rehydrates…
