This lower central incisor was planned for extraction ahead of orthodontic space closing with SureSmile. Atraumatic extractions favor preservation of the fragile buccal plate at all costs. This may occasionally involve B-L sectioning to elevate in a M-D direction to remove roots, but fortunately only rotation in this case. Loving the PDL detail on my light first day back.
