This back to back anterior mandibular caries case featured significant intraoperative dehydration which tempts one to change their original choice of shade – it’s important to have an assistant who will hide those shades to remove that temptation. An A3.5 was selected pre-operatively in this case but an intraoperative assessment would have selected an A2 which would have been incorrect upon rehydration.
