This tooth was sensitive to the TOOTHSLEUTH/FRACFINDER and exhibited recurrent caries in addition to a M-D transverse crack that was chased until the air abrasion didn’t “light up the crack” anymore.
A tip is to use the abrasion unit dry and if it lights up the fracture margin, follow it as a guide until the point where you are simply too deep pulpally or gingivally or when the hairline fracture disappears.
Ever-X Flow was utilized superior/coronal to the microlayers as a layer to increase the fracture toughness of the tooth.
A single shade of Majesty ES-2 Universal U from Kuraray was used and demonstrates an excellent chameleon effect.
