Often when we have a “shallow carious lesion located at the level of a long, sloping contact and root proximity, we can’t create adequate access for an anatomically curved Slickband or similar as there is no need to extend for convenience as this is not minimally invasive. In these situations, the use of a Tofflemire/Omnimatrix is perfectly fine, ideally with some interdental wedging (although in this case only a plastic Wavewedge was used).
