The battle of the high-flexural strength flowables continues. GC Essentia Hi-Flo and Lo-Flo both peak around the 170MPa mark in flexural strength, mimicking almost exactly that of dentin. Surprisingly, the trend that we are seeing of injectable composites being stronger for the first time relative to their packable composite counterparts (i.e. Essentia Hi-Flo vs. Essentia U) is very encouraging and reflective of the direction that restorative techniques are taking.
