Large Class II restorations with linguoaxial line angle compromise require reconstruction of this area first before placing a sectional matrix system. A matrix-in-matrix technique was utilized here with the Garrison Firm Band skewed towards the lingual of tooth #29. A minimum wall thickness of 3mm at the base was established before the Compositight 3D Fusion system was applied. A single shade of the “most porcelain like” composite, #VocoGrandioSO was utilized for both marginal ridge reconstruction and occlusal layering.
