Unexpected distal extension to this MO on this lower right second molar. Needed to remove the vertical hairline fracture in this region as it penetrated past the DEJ in a caries-prone site. Preparation was completed against the third molar without breaking the contact. The Garrison Compositight 3D Fusion matrix was used on the mesial, whereas a simple metal strip was used distally. The stained dentin floor was microlayered using Herculite Ultra XL2 flowable to opaque and lift the value of the tooth.
