Root exposure from past long standing generalized moderate to advanced chronic periodontitis can leave areas susceptible to abrasion and further damage. A no-preparation approach can be taken here using surface preparation using micro air abrasion (27 micron aluminum oxide) before bonding in self-etch mode using a 10-MDP-containing bond such as Clearfil SE Bond 2 before micro layering.
